Short Term Spelling

At certain times of the year we will have short term spelling options available for horses that need to be rested from their current routines. When the pasture is at its best we will be more that happy to look after your horses whilst they let down for a month or two in safe shaded paddocks.

There will be two available options, shared with one other horse or individual paddocks – currently we already have regular summer time or Christmas vacation horses however if your horse is still growing the best time of year for feed is from August/September through to December.

Kyamba Lodge will be managing what we are calling a “Young Horse Buddy” program where we will be matching like horses with like horses to ensure that they truly relax and learn to be a horse through their young growing years. Keep your eyes on the latest news for updates when paddocks  are released as we will be posting “wanted” adds when spaces become available.

As per all other boarding prices the weekly rates do not include hard feeding however as per the retirement horses the rates are inclusive of enough hay to ensure that your horse maintains or improves on their current condition.
